Trailer Tuesday: 'The Book of Eli', 'Astro Boy', 'Trick r Treat' & more

This week’s two-minute treats brings us a bad-ass, post-apocalyptic Denzel Washington, a righteous CGI update of an Anime classic, and a horror anthology flick that’s finally, finally seeing the light of day.
We’ve also got the latest from Disney’s A Christmas Carol, a featurette from Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, and a Bollywood retelling of the Aladdin myth.

The Book of Eli
Directing team The Hughes Brothers have teamed up once again with Denzel and thrust him into a harsh future where he holds potential salvation in his hands. And a machete.

Astro Boy
Though I never really watched the cartoon growing up, the latest CGI film from Imagi Studios is visually fantastic and, after TMNT, I totally trust it’ll be worth the ticket price.

Trick ‘r Treat
If it seems like people have been talking about this movie forever, they pretty much have been. The buzz has been nothing but positive since screenings started nearly two years ago but Warner Bros & Legendary Pictures decided to delay its release. And by delay I mean it was originally slated to come out Oct. 5, 2007.

A Christmas Carol
This new trailer isn’t drastically different than the first but it is more linear and had quite a few new scenes. I’m simultaneously impressed and creeped out by how good the CGI is.

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant
Quickly on the heels of the first trailer, they’ve released a featurette that shows a few additional scenes and interview clips.

Aladin
And now for something completely different. It’s a modern, Bollywood take on the story of Aladdin and it looks damn entertaining.

Any of these strike a chord with you? Think any of them look like crap?
