New Clip From 'Son of Batman' & WonderCon Screening Info

The 20th(!) DC Universe Animated Original Movie will give us our first look at Damien Wayne and you can see it before it hits the shelves!

In the film, Batman learns he has a son, Damian – and to further complicate matters, the mother is Talia al Ghul, daughter of one of Batman’s most dreaded enemies, Ra’s Al Ghul. When the odds quickly turn against Batman and Damian, Batman must become both father and mentor to the aggressive, agile new Robin. Together they form an uneasy alliance to try and thwart the criminal enterprise of Deathstroke and his army of ninja man-bats before there are international consequences.

For those able to attend WonderCon, you’ll get two opportunities to watch the film. The official World Premiere is Friday, April 18th at 6pm in the Arena and will be immediately followed by a Q&A moderated by TV Guide Magazine senior editor Rich Sands. On hand will be our new voice of Batman for the foreseeable future, Jason O’Mara (TERRA NOVA, LIFE ON MARS) and fellow cast members Sean Maher (FIREFLY, ARROW), Xander Berkeley (TRANSCENDENCE, SALEM), Stuart Allan (BAD TEACHER, RISE OF THE GUARDIANS), and filmmakers including producer James Tucker (JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR), director Ethan Spaulding (THE SIMPSONS, AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER), dialogue director Andrea Romano (basically every awesome animated thing DC has done since BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES), character designer Phil Bourassa (YOUNG JUSTICE, JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR) and “some potential surprise special guests.” Hmm…wonder who that could be…
There will also be an hour-long autograph session for fans on Friday, April 18 from 3:30-4:30pm in the DC Entertainment booth that includes all the panel members and an exclusive SON OF BATMAN mini-poster.
If you’re unable to make it to the Friday night screening, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has added an encore on Sunday, April 20th at 1:15pm, also in the Arena.

SON OF BATMAN arrives May 6, 2014 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack, DVD and Digital HD.
