We Misfits love Halloween. It's up there with Darwin, Festivus, and System Administrator Appreciation Day. Like you, we spend days, weeks, and in the case of at least one redheaded member of our posse, months planning our outfits each year. But like you, we're feeling the effects of the recent credit crunch on our wallets. No longer can we spend money dressing up like Big Daddy from the videogame Bioshock. Sure, it's fun spending lots of time and money while simultaneously damaging our daughter psychologically for the rest of her life. In past years, we'd be all over that. But this year, cuts need to be made.

We Misfits love Halloween. It's up there with Darwin, Festivus, and System Administrator Appreciation Day. Like you, we spend days, weeks, and in the case of at least one redheaded member of our posse, months planning our outfits each year. But like you, we're feeling the effects of the recent credit crunch on our wallets. No longer can we spend money dressing up like Big Daddy from the videogame Bioshock. With the hopefully, seemingly epic video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed coming out soon, I've been thinking a little bit about how I'd be if I had those powers. Saying that I'm a goody-two-shoes is a bit of an exaggeration but I'm definitely not evil. I can't even go the "bad guy" route in video games without feeling a twinge of guilt. That being said, I do know that there are some selfish and self-serving ways I'd end up using The Force. And here's how...

With the hopefully, seemingly epic video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed coming out soon, I've been thinking a little bit about how I'd be if I had those powers. Saying that I'm a goody-two-shoes is a bit of an exaggeration but I'm definitely not evil. I can't even go the "bad guy" route in video games without feeling a twinge of guilt. I spent many of my formative years -- like much of G4's viewership, I suspect -- pumping quarters into arcade games. Everything from Space Invaders and Pac-Man to Heavy Barrel, Cyberball, Dragon's Lair... Oh, and Donkey Kong, whether it was the greasy machine at a local pizza place or the knock-off Crazy Kong in my dentist's office. There were days I longed for a way to spend the rest of my life playing those games.
